Original Piano Compositions

I wrote these compositions for my own piano students. When I write such pieces, I always think “What’s most intuitive for a student at this level?” That is reflected in texture, patterns and overall form. For instance, the right hand always carries a memorable melody, while the left hand always carries the accompaniment. At the same time, I want to challenge my students to grow artistically, which means that each piece presents a specific challenge for that particular level (e.g. modes, mixed meter, swinging eighths, etc).
